The installers are not code-signed yet. Windows SmartScreen may show "Windows protected your PC": choose More info, then Run anyway. On macOS, right-click the app and choose Open the first time. Signing certificates cost money and we will add them when we can. Until then, you can check the SHA-256 checksums published with each release.

Around 150 MB each. Every app you create bundles its own copy of Chromium, so it runs the same everywhere and does not depend on your browser. The trade-off is size.

It depends on the site. Wrapping a page you own is fine. For someone else's site, read its terms of service first: some forbid wrapping or redistributing their service, and logos and names remain their owner's. Use Paneshell for personal use or with the owner's permission. This is not legal advice.

No telemetry by default. The studio and the apps it creates send nothing to us. Your wrapped app talks to the site you pointed it at, exactly as a browser tab would. Any crash reporting we add later will be opt-in.

No. You paste a URL, check the preview, and press Create app. The result is an installer for your system.
